The rapid response facility gives the Foundation the flexibility to support civil society responses to emerging and urgent issues. Each Grant Partner can only apply one time for this support facility during its contract period. Response grant ceiling increased! as of September 2011
The Rapid Response grant ceiling has been raised from ZMK 50,000,000 to ZMK 100,000,000. The Rapid Response grant scheme was formulated to assist civil society organisations to respond to emerging policy themes or issues. Policy engagement can consist of a variety of different activities to be effective, including but not limited to consultations with government and other organisations, or the provision of a platform to launch policy engagement work on behalf of a group of likeminded organisations.
